Thank you so much! I really enjoy writing OI&E, confusing as it is (for me, and for the readers sometimes). Haley in particular is one of my favorite characters to write; I feel like her character was given short shrift in the show, and the whole cheating/divorce side story was badly handled in my opinion. This is really my attempt to show the most important relationship outside the team as it should be. (I've actually been working on an entire essay on the problems involved with Haley as a character, but I digress.)
I had to do the chronological order thing for myself, too, otherwise there would have been a lot more timeline errors than have been reported (to date: 1). So you're welcome!
I've actually been watching a lot of early Criminal Minds episodes lately, trying to get back in the OI&E mindset. It's really problematic for me, because what with Mandy leaving, and Rossi joining the team and my really really not liking him at all for the first half season he was on the show, and OI&E not adhering to the show's chronology after Season 2 ended but my wanting to cram Children of the Dark and 7 Seconds into it anyways...
The beginning of Season 3, with the Mandy-Rossi changeover, the Hotchners getting divorced, etc., felt very jump-the-shark-ish to me. Not that the series is declining in quality, but the continued character development has taken the team in directions that are A) incompatible with OI&E and B) somewhat disturbing to me personally, and darker and, well, less likely to make me want to participate in fandom (i.e. write CM fic). That, and continuously having to go "Haley's not a bitch, Gideon's still on the team, Straus is/will be gone" really isn't conducive to writing more fic from two seasons ago.
I guess in summary, I haven't closed the door on writing more OI&E stories, but I am not holding my breath for them, either.
