State of writing (because I feel like it!)

I'm supposed to be doing constructive stuff, like, you know, reading for class I should have done two weeks ago, but.

Instead I'm sitting here writing a Sky High short (which is the prequel to the Sky High fic that has been languishing half-finished because, hello, prequel's not written yet).

And bemoaning the plotbunnies rampaging through my brain and teasing Taddpole.

1. fluffnutter gave me a FFVII prompt for rounds_of_kink - Sephiroth/Angeal, h/c, He cursed himself for taking so long to rescue his lover. And somehow it's managed to turn itself, through the influence of xpaperplanex 's Prisoners of War, into a Zack/Genesis story with a side of implied Sephiroth/Angeal. There's a fire in the 3rd class dorms, and Genesis getting a report of it from a waitress, and...le sigh. This is my face. This is my face hitting the keyboard.*thud*

By the way, is there a technical term for self-mutilation done so that a second party can't use them as a torture device? Yes, it's relevant to the story. (No, it has nothing to do with genitalia.)

Genesis, stop glaring at me and go back to giving Zack cooking lessons, okay? Sheesh.

2. The Avatar epic I don't want to write mainly because even in my head it comes across as a too-aware apologetic fix-it fic. This is why I avoid the topic!fail discussions, people. Because it shows up in my fic. In a bad way. It does not internalize gracefully.

3. I still want to write the Instincts!verse Christmas special. Except, yeah, it still gives away everything there is to give away. Except...um. Yeah. The epilogue. I think I'm going to have Zack name his sword Loyal Opposition. Maybe. Anyone have any ideas? (He doesn't get Angeal's Buster in Instincts. For...uh. What should be an obvious reason.)

4. NCIS:LA Sam/G Callan first time fic. the_dark_side , I hate you. (You know how this one goes.)

5. I'm sure I could put other stuff here, but the other four are plotbunnies I'm being tormented with, so...uh. Yeah.

Heh. Well, just make sure Zack knows to duck and cover. I don't think Angeal's very happy with me considering how much I'm putting Zack through in that one. Not to mention Instincts.

For some reason the not-a-werewolf story Zack seems okay. If only because Angeal does guilt so well...Seems I'm always torturing one or the other.
